Your receipt

One secret, held only by you. There is no copy anywhere, and no way to make one.

When you prepare a deposit, your browser draws two random numbers. One will later prove the deposit is yours; the other makes sure it can only be spent once. Together they are your receipt. They never leave the page.

What goes on the chain is a fingerprint of the two — the commitment. A fingerprint only works one way: it can confirm a receipt you present, and it can never be turned back into one.

It is the whole of your claim

There is no account behind it, no email, no password, nothing stored on a server. The pool does not know who you are and has nothing to look you up by. Whoever holds the receipt can withdraw that deposit, the way whoever holds a bearer bond owns it. Keep it like cash.

If you lose it

The SOL stays in the pool, and no one can get it out. Not you, not us, not a support desk, not a court order to a company that does not hold a key. There is no recovery, no reset, no backup, and building one would mean building the back door this whole design exists to avoid.

Lose the receipt and the money is gone. Say it out loud before you deposit.

Keeping it

Save it somewhere you would save a private key, and somewhere it will survive the device you made it on. Do not paste it into anything that is not the withdrawal form, and be aware that anyone who reads it over your shoulder can empty that deposit.
